Program Title: “Making your case – the genealogical proof standard”

In this age of “ information overload” much data that is available is contradictory and of questionable value. Mildred Gross, President of the Granville County Genealogical Society, 1746 Inc., will discuss some of the problems associated with modern day research in a talk titled “Making your case – the genealogical proof standard”. In her work with applications for lineage societies, the problems with contradictory information have been very troublesome at times. She promises to have some solutions to these dilemmas for the society members.

Mildred has been the president of the Granville County Genealogical Society since it’s inception a little over ten years ago and continues to be active in her genealogical research that she has been actively pursuing since she retired from the Medical Records Department at John Umstead Hospital in Butner, NC.

Please join with the Granville County Genealogical Society, 1746 at the Richard H. Thornton Library Conference Room, Main Street, Oxford, NC at 6:30 P.M. on March 2nd, 2006. Hopefully Mildred will have some helpful solutions that we can use in our research.
